    The Fund Development Manager position is open in our Upland location. This is a Full-time position during our day shift.

    Requirements of the Fund Development Manager:
    * Bachelor's degree in management, communication/marketing or related field or equivalent work experience.
    * A minimum of 5 years fundraising leadership experience in a professional capacity and a successful demonstrated management track record.
    * Excellent writing and communication skills.
    * Experience in on-line giving strategies, websites and social media.
    * Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing a successful fund development program. Experience supporting the fundraising efforts of a nonprofit Board of Directors.
    * Understanding of motivations for giving and volunteering, research and cultivation practices, donor stewardship, and standard fundraising techniques including face to face solicitation, proposal writing, special events and direct mail;
    * Knowledge and management experience of general development office functions including gift processing, prospect and donor histories, donor database management, fundraising reporting and donor recognition.
    * Demonstrated experience and confidence in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding cash and in-kind donors.

    Fund Development Manager Duties Include:
    * Build on current annual fund strategy to develop plan to include direction, timeline and scope for all fundraising activities and manage the Fund Development staff and activities.
    * Research and propose new, innovative fundraising opportunities to enhance and expand annual fund, major gifts and planned gifts program.
    * Be up to date on developments in philanthropy and the not-for-profit sector; inform the President of current trends, issues, opportunities, challenges and activities in order to facilitate program growth and new revenue.
    * Lead team to coordinate, plan and execute special events.
    * Serve as a member of the VNA Board's fundraising committee and support the fundraising efforts of the Board of Directors.
    * Oversee initiatives and develop opportunities to enhance and expand the annual fund and feed the major gifts pipeline.
    * Oversee donor database maintenance to ensure accuracy and that it is up-to-date donor database. Provide timely, customized reports to the President and Fundraising Committee to inform strategic opportunities to enhance and advance relationships with donors.
    * Expand donor stewardship effort opportunities to thank and engage donors at all levels.
    * Identify, cultivate, and solicit event sponsorships and in-kind gifts.
    * Identify, cultivate and develop community partnerships to increase annual fund revenue.
    * Create, launch, market and manage VNA's Legacy Society for planned giving. Responsible for maintaining/enhancing the VNA website and other online methods regarding the dissemination of VNA information and enhance on-line giving.
